Too much of a mama's life goes undocumented and unseen. People, including your children, don't see the way you make sure your kids' favourite stuffed animals are on their beds at night. They don't know that you saved their baby blanket from the hospital where they were born or their little hospital bracelets in keepsake boxes high on the top shelves of their closets. They don't see you tossing and turning in bed wondering if you are doing an okay job as a mother (you are), if they are okay in their schools, where you should take them for a vacation, what you should do for their birthdays. You're up long past the news on Christmas Eve wrapping presents and eating cookies and milk, and you spend hours hunting the Internet and Walmart for specially-requested Halloween costumes and birthday presents. They don't see any of that.

A mama & me session is for the big moments like birthday's, holiday's, recitals and milestones. But they are also for all the small, deserving moments in between. Like right before you lay the baby in his crib and he snuggles into your neck for one last sleepy hug. Or when they look up at you and say “I love you Mommy” for no reason at all. Or when your kiddos hold hands, unprompted. Magic.

I know that the day to day of raising littles can feel less than magical. But those moments? They are worth the craziness and the laundry list that goes unnoticed.

So I won’t just bottle the moments—I’ll bottle the feeling. Through images that create that heart-swelling, tear-inducing love every time you look back at them.
